OCEAN MAN

2022

"Ocean Man" is a song by Ween. The song has lyrics talk about a man who lives deep on the ocean floor. I saw the opportunity to create something really fun and imaginative.

I started by directing the lyrics and sketching what I visualised the music video looking like. I decided not to watch the music video made by Ween already as I didn't want to be influenced by what they had already done and come up with my own idea.

I used the same technics as Aardman Animation, to made my armature of my 'ocean Man'. I started with the skeleton of the model and built it up using plasticine, model the head which is based on a blob fish, a rare and strange looking fish found at the bottom of the Atlantic Mountain.

The cave I created is his home and I added a few props around him and created a story board to what a finished product of my music video would look like.
